Marjorie's ramblings

The locked gate

I had planned to walk today, but the heavy rain this morning gave me an excuse not to go.

Spurred on by hazelh I did some tidying in my study.

This afternoon I drove to Newcastle to the Skoda garage to look at new cars. I'm taken with the Karoq. There are automatic options and a good boot space for a walker/wheelchair.

I had a test drive and liked the feel of the car.

Anyone have thoughts/experiences to share??

On my way home I drove through Benwell. It was raining. I stopped beside this church and photographed the locked gates. There are plenty of metal grids around the place too.

Then I heard the sound of a single voice singing the Mass. It floated through the windows. I found an open door around the corner. Two bicycles were secured there and several cars parked in the streets.

Back home and Margret (next door) came for supper. I managed not to crisp the pastry on the Salmon Wellington, but the salmon was OK. (The ignominy!)

Now who is the murderer in Unforgotten? I suspect there will be more twists and turns before the last credits roll.
