Beach Walk

I started the day with a long run, a bit over eight miles – which is long for me. I enjoyed it, not too hot, not too windy, and no rain.  After lunch we headed out to get some plants for pots and baskets.  We ended up at Smeaton, made our purchases, avoided the tea room and as the sun was making an appearance, we drove over to Dirleton and walked to the coast.  It was lovely.  The boys had ice creams, but I just needed a drink as I think I was still dehydrated from my morning run.

We sat down for  while in a lovely little bay and enjoyed the sunshine.  The wind had really got up as we walked back to the car, which was a real contrast to the sheltered spot we had found.

TT was on tea, which left me to urge BB to practice his cello, only to find out he had conveniently left it at school!

Here is a view towards the Bass Rock.  The extra is another shot of the poppies.
