HAWTHORN FLOWERS

I just couldn't fall asleep when I went to bed last night and I was awake for ages.  I must have finally nodded off because the next thing I knew I was woken up by Lily's crying.  It wasn't her usual cry.  Its the sound she makes when she is afraid or in a panic.  So I sleepily got up to see what was up.  I couldn't even find her at first so I had to just stand and listen hard to try and figure out where the noise was coming from. Turns out she was shut in a bedroom.  Silly girl.  She must have followed me in earlier and settled down for a sleep and when she woke up she found she couldn't get out.   I stayed up for a while as by then I was wide awake.  Then back to bed - difficulty falling asleep again.  I have looked at my Fitbit record and see that my total sleep was only 2 hours 46 mins.  So far I'm doing Ok but I think I had better try for an early night.

At 11.30am I had a Facebook Messenger chat with two blip friends J4net and 60plus.  We had a lovely catch up. Great to see them - really cheered me up.

Later on I walked down to the village for shopping in Herons and Tesco. No queues for either and both shops had hardly anyone inside.  I even managed to get a pack of antibacterial wipes.  ( after 6 weeks of trying)

It was raining heavily earlier on but after it stopped we had a lovely sunny day. But we have had the fiercest of winds the whole day.  Not good when you are trying to get a shot for Flower Friday. Tall flowers were swaying about madly so I had to disregard them.  In the end I opted for Hawthorn flowers.  There is a long hawthorn hedge beside the cricket club and its full of pretty flowers at the moment. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday and for Miranda1008  hosting Wild Flower Week.
