Captain Cool and Wide Wednesday Results

Motorhome still with the Citroen dealer so we are continuing with our pick somewhere local to home staycation.  The sunshine was looking good this afternoon so we had a look around Charlecote for the deer in case the rut had started.  Not yet, so far as we could see.  A group of does had forded the river and were busy shaking themselves dry observed by this buck and his younger apprentice.  Much trotting to and fro from the does but he looks to have decided he was too cool to get up.

Best seen in large - the flies he is ignoring are just about visible
.

Looking at his right antler - he might be the Gary Moore sound alike I blipped a few days back?

Wide Wednesday results:

I had been worried that the sudden change of weather here in the UK and Northern Europe would cause a few problems, but blippers are nothing if not inventive and have come up with some fantastic interpretations on the theme.   With it being Winter – Spring in the Southern Hemisphere and Summer – Autumn in the North I have decided to go for 6 favourites and spread them about – so someone will not get their favourite until tomorrow – sorry!

Favourites to:

Graham Colling – a beautiful misty dawn aerial shot
Jensphotos – thinking outside the box and featuring the night sky
KeenKen – low tide – be sure to see the 3rd extra too
Miranda 1008 – closed up beach huts
Isbi – warm enough for shorts, but keep your jumper on?
59 – blossom architecture and a rainbow

Honourable Mentions to:

Stiffknees – the last dandelion
Lesmark – a Spanish late summer
BobsBlips – changing weather on the Severn Crossing
Terrifo – surf’s up, a long way out but it is up!
Ninniex – fluke shot – wildlife marking the seasonal changes
Rmeinz – an optimistic ice cream salesperson?

Thanks to everyone who entered, as ever, just my opinion!
and thanks for having me as host - normal service will be resumed next week when Bob takes back the helm.
