Hi there. I am retired. I was working as a Care Assistant for the Elderly with dementia for a few years. I live in Cornwall. .and  I feel blessed!!. What a fantastic  place for capturing beautiful views with one's camera!!. There are endless opportunities.
Many years ago, I started to take a great interest in Photography. .and  was bought a Pentax SLR camera. I can honestly say , that I didn't have a clue what to do with it!!!
I signed up for a City& Guilds Course in Photography. .and  that was it!!. I remember crawling on the ground, taking unusual pics of tyre treads etc in Macro mode. And getting up at the crack of dawn to get the early morning light. .and  then late in the evening to get a different aspect. The consequence was, that I  was totally hooked!!!. I  passed the exams etc  ..but  lost interest, as it got too technical.
Anyway, I still take photos whenever I can. But I do it for fun.
I now have a Nikon DSLR. This is a great  step forward, and I love it.
Usually when I go out, I am lazy, and I use the mobile phone for picture taking, but the last couple of weeks, I decided to get my Nikon out of it's case. I am so glad that I did.
Being on here with all you fellow Blippers will help me to once again start "clicking"
I look forward to everything that this community has to offer.
I love taking pics of Landscapes, Macro, and portraits.
UPDATE. I forgot to mention that I really LOVE Big Cats. Whenever I can, I try to get pics (At the Zoo). How I would love to go on Safari!!!
