Family history repeating itself (WidWed results)

One of Rachel's friends sent her a photo of the two of them sitting together when they were Toddlers,  taking Rachel from that and comparing it with a modern photo of her daughter Ariadne, we can see that,  Ariadne is much more comfortable with being photographed but in most other respects the similarlities are striking.
Same colouring
Same hair
Same incessant questioning
Same imagination ... that washing up bowl might well be a tractor,  or possibly, a particle accelerator :-)

And so - on to Wide Wednesday's results.

Some great entries and the theme looks to have gone down well.
I enjoyed seeing a lot of the day to day history which often gets lost in the grand sceme of things,  industrial waste being reclaimed by nature, old warehouses supporting art panels as well as the more grand and imposing buildings.

My choices are:

Favourites to:
Maureen488                      A wonderfully detailed, internal view of one of my favourite buildings.
If I were to pick a winner – this would be it!
ISBI                                        Different architecture & history but fits the theme well.

Greg Lovett                        A patch of history in a much modified city centre

RockArea                             Atmospheric Mono with history by the bucket load

TrikinDave                           Nature reclaiming an old industrial site, with some help from us.

Honourable Mentions to:
Chrisfoto                            Village history in a single building
AnnieandChris                  A London night view – old and new in abundance  (Annie is chasing the missing entries problem)
Daring2Go                           Transient history – see it while you can
Doyley22                             Old buildings turned into art
MidgeholeDave                Our industrial past now finding a new use

Next week the tag and optional theme are    widwed300118      &     urban

I have been using a different browser in an effort to avoid the problems with seeing all of the entries - all of the ones I can see have a star and a thank you note - if yours is missing, please add something into the comments to allow the investigation to continue.

Apologies for the short comments - Gill's mum has aken a turn for the worse so we are getting organised to travel down to Weston tomorrow.
