Saltaire

I have been to Saltaire three days running so I felt you must have an iconic Saltaire blip. So many buildings here that look good but instead of the Mill or Victoria Hall (currently covered in scaffolding) I’ve gone for Sir Titus Salt’s United Reform Church, suitable for a Sunday and I love it against the sky behind.

We went to collect our purchase from the vintage shop which had been removed from the window ready for us, but as we were there on another lovely sunny morning we decided to,do a walk taking in the canal, Hirst Woods and the River Aire before stopping in Roberts park, again, for a coffee.

Bluebells in Hirst Woods and lovely banks of them on the riverside. Some of the wild garlic (Ramsons) were in flower too and there were a couple of boats from the rowing club on the river. The nice thing about the bluebells on the river bank is that you look up to them - extra

A lovely morning and we now own a wooden child’s double rocker!

Seems we did a similar walk on this day in 2016
